Greenhouse is looking for a Senior Consultant, or experienced and ambitious Associate Director who is passionate about sustainability and driving positive climate action, with a focus on how we transform financial markets and systems.
We are seeking someone who understands financial markets and integrated communications, with strategic vision and excellent management skills. You will be confident, well networked and knowledgeable, able to actively engage with the most influential figures across finance, business, politics, academia and civil society.
We are focused on transforming the financial system so that it aligns with planetary boundaries and funds the shift to a net zero economy. In the last year we have won new clients including the Integrity Council for Voluntary Carbon Markets and the Green Finance Institute. This new position reflects this growth, with an opportunity for a new leader to take on both clients, and grow our division, and team.
We see huge potential, and the position is for an individual who is ambitious with a high degree of self-sufficiency, maintaining positive client relationships and winning new clients.
Skills and experience:
- Deep understanding of why climate, biodiversity and other planetary boundaries are material for the financial sector – including issues such as climate risk, portfolio alignment with 1.5 degrees, carbon markets, economic transformation and sustainable investment.
- Experience in and understanding of the financial ecosystem – NGOs, institutional investors, insurers, policymakers and others – and the levers that can drive change.
- Outstanding PR and communications skills, both verbal and written, excellent media contacts and ability to develop and lead interational campaigns.
- Ability to provide strategic counsel on messaging and narrative to deliver client objectives.
- A sound understanding of digital communications and the ability to provide strategic counsel and oversee delivery of digital strategies and campaigns.
- Knowledge of influencers and media, and who has the potential to shift and accelerate progress at speed and at scale.
- Able to lead teams by providing direction, motivation, strategic counsel, setting of goals and coaching.
- Commercial acumen, experience of developing new business and managing client budgets, with a view to growing our impact.
- Great network of contacts to help build the business and secure gamechanging clients who are driving impact globally.
- Excellent client handling skills and an ability to present to a range of stakeholders at a senior level.
- Passion for making a difference to environment, community and the world around us.

Salary and benefits
- £70-100K depending on location (Bristol or London) and experience.
