Greenhouse is looking for an experienced and ambitious Account Director to join our fast-growing Advocacy team, to design, implement and manage communication strategies for clients that work in the nature space.
Reporting to the Head of Nature, you will lead and support a portfolio of clients to deliver integrated communications campaigns related to zero deforestation, nature technologies, nature-based solutions, nature finance and political advocacy.
The Advocacy team works at the unique intersection of finance, nature, youth and policy. We help build movements, mobilise governments and, accelerate investment and action on the ground.
The Account Director will be responsible for developing and delivering creative communications strategies, impactful multi-disciplinary campaigns, managing high performing teams and supporting business growth.
Clients could include NGOs such as The Nature Conservancy and Global Canopy, advocacy coalitions such as Business for Nature and Nature4Climate or nature-based science and technology companies such as UNDO.
The Account Director will be strategic, ambitious and commercial, with a passion for turning complex ideas into engaging campaigns and commitment to achieving positive impact. You will understand nature-related issues, have multi-disciplinary expertise, and experience leading clients and teams.

Skills and experience
- Ability to devise and execute creative strategies and integrated campaigns.
- Multi-disciplinary communications expertise (minimum: media, digital, social).
- Ability to lead clients, managing relationships, accounts and teams.
- Experience working for companies, governments and/or NGOs focused on environmental issues.
- Project management of multiple accounts in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to lead, coach and build capabilities of team members.
- Financial management of client accounts.
- Ability to support new business pitches.
- Understanding of the nature space – trends, policy, regulatory frameworks and technology.
- Experience working with US media would be desired but not essential.

Salary and benefits
- £45,000 – £60,000 depending on location (Bristol or London) and experience.
- Flexible working: core hours 10am-4pm with 2-3 days per week expected in the office.
